The Center at West Park is a home for arts, culture, and community in the landmark West Park Presbyterian Church on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. The Center is a secular not-for-profit organization that offers a diverse range of programs for artists, audiences, and the neighborhood; manages the building’s venues; and stewards the restoration of its historic exterior.

About the Performance: A Beautiful Place to Die is a live multimedia performance by Speak Friend combining improvisational sound meditations, live band arrangements, poetry, and selections from their EP IAJAR. Their debut EP, IAJAR, explores connection, vulnerability, prayer, imagination, and the beauty of navigating life together through uncertainty. With performances that feel equally intimate and expansive, Speak Friend invites audiences into a space of reflection, laughter, and communal feeling. Their work embraces imperfection while searching for truth, warmth, and shared humanity through sound.About the CWP Evolution Festival The fifth annual CWP EVOLUTION FESTIVAL presents original works of theater, dance, music, comedy, and interdisciplinary performance by NYC-based artists at venues across Manhattan in June and September 2026.
