Celebrate the solstice with nature walks, puppet-making, music-making, games & a magical puppet performance! ☀️
Spend the longest day of the year at Revive The Roots, celebrating queer joy, creativity, music, and community in nature! ☀️🌈
Join us on June 21st from 12:30–4:00 PM for a playful outdoor gathering featuring guided nature walks with Queer Hikes, eco-art puppet making with the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, a community sound garden, lawn games, and a magical performance by Wicked Queer Puppet Theater.
Throughout the day, attendees are invited to explore the land and forage for natural materials to make their own paperbag puppet. Create your own puppet using reclaimed and natural materials, then join our joyful Puppet Pride Parade kicking off the Wicked Queer Puppet Theater performance at 3 PM!
Not into hiking or crafting? Relax in the community garden area with bocce, cornhole, board games, card games, hula hoops from Allie Loop, and a Sound Garden of free-range musical instruments. Come make noise, make art, and celebrate the sunniest day of the year together. Bring your Dad or father-figure, but most of all, bring yourself!
