Northeast Community CenterSpokane, WA
Overview

Learn about ways to prevent gun violence in Spokane County at this free event.

Our Medical Reserve Corps volunteers will be offering a Stop the Bleed Training and Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training.

Stop the Bleed Training: Teaches participants to recognize life-threatening bleeding and how to act quickly to control bleeding with three techniques.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Training: Helps participants recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help.

There will also be a tabling event for attendees to join throughout the duration of the event along with free gun lockboxes for safe storage (first come, first served).

Attendees are encouraged to wear orange in observance of Wear Orange Weekend to bring attention to gun violence awareness. Class attendance is not required to drop in and discuss safe storage or get a free lockbox. All are welcome!
