Join us at Tula House for a special evening of cactus grafting with the New York Cactus and Succulent Society.
Cactus grafting is the process of joining two separate cacti together so they grow as one plant. By combining a strong rootstock with a unique or slower-growing scion, growers can create unusual forms, encourage faster growth, and cultivate some of the strange sculptural combinations that make cacti so fascinating. It’s equal parts horticulture, experimentation, and art.
During this hands-on workshop, members of NYCSS will guide guests through the grafting process step-by-step, covering plant selection, cutting techniques, aftercare, and the science behind why grafting works. Each participant will leave with their own grafted cactus creations and the tools to continue experimenting at home.
Each ticket includes:
• Rootstock
• Scion
• Terracotta planter
• Niwaki knife
• 10% off storewide for the evening
• Drinks throughout the evening
