CT Open House Day Mini-Tours
The Museum is pleased to participate in Connecticut's 2026 Open House Day with $5 Mini-Tours of Period Rooms + "Revolutionary Roots" exhibit
Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is pleased to participate in Connecticut's 2026 Open House Day on June 13, a day when Connecticut residents have the opportunity to experience museums and attraction in their own backyard!
From 12-4 p.m., the Museum will be open for mini-tours of the Mansion's first floor period rooms. Knowledgeable docents will be stationed in each room to answer your questions about this magnificent National Historic Landmark.
In addition, visitors that day will be able to view the special new exhibit on the second floor Revolutionary Roots: Generations of Change which examines the American Revolution through the 18th-century history of the Lockwood and Mathews families as new research reveals untold stories of their Patriot ancestors who fought for America’s independence. This exhibit is usually only seen if you take a 90-minute Guided House Tour or a special Exhibition Tour.
