Painting Interiors 101- AM class

The workshop space at Boston Building Resources needs a new coat of paint. So we thought — what if we just... told people it was a class? Turns out, it is a class. A really good one. But also, yes, you will be painting our walls, maybe even a ceiling!

This beginner-friendly workshop invites you to pick up a brush, roll up your sleeves, and help us freshen up the BBR workshop space — all while genuinely learning one of the most useful home improvement skills there is. You'll leave knowing exactly how to paint an interior wall from start to finish, and we'll leave with a freshly painted room. Everybody wins!

What We’ll Cover

🖌️ Prep & Priming — The step that makes everything else easier. We'll cover surface prep, taping, and when priming is actually worth it.
✂️ Cutting In — Clean, crisp edges along trim, corners, and ceilings. More technique than guesswork.
🎢 Rolling Technique — Proper loading, stroke patterns, and how to get smooth, even coverage without streaks or holidays.
🎨 Paint Types & Finishes — Flat, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss: what the differences actually mean and how to choose the right one for your project.
🧹 Cleanup & Tool Care — How to clean your brushes and rollers so they last well beyond this class.

Come Prepared

Wear clothes and shoes that can get spashed with paint. Suggested hat or head covering if you paint a ceiling. No experience needed.
