Cake Decorating Workshop: Faux Frosting
Create your own faux frosting artwork using spackle, piping techniques, color, and decorative details in this hands-on workshop.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to create realistic faux frosting effects using spackle techniques inspired by decorative cake piping and texture-based art. We will guide participants through piping, color mixing, surface decoration, and sculptural texture techniques to create a playful, highly tactile artwork.
Participants may choose from provided canvases, tissue boxes, or decorative light covers, or they may bring their own small wooden object to decorate. Wooden boxes, frames, and small decorative objects are welcome. Personal objects should be no larger than 12 inches.
No prior experience is needed. All faux frosting materials and decorating tools will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own decorative add-ons, such as fake sprinkles, beads, pearls, rhinestones, or charms.
