Join Think Positive Club with Concrete Couch for a morning of mindfulness, creativity, sustainability, and community.
At Think Positive Club, we also believe creative activities like journaling, working with your hands, arranging textures, and slowing down can help support nervous system regulation by encouraging grounding, mindfulness, creativity, and presence.
We’ll begin with a guided walking meditation through the trails at Concrete Couch to help ground ourselves, slow down, and reconnect with the present moment. After the walk, we’ll transition into a junk journaling and creative journaling experience focused on turning everyday scraps into meaningful art and memories.
What is junk journaling?
Junk journaling is a form of creative journaling that uses recycled, sentimental, or collected materials to create scrapbook-style pages filled with textures, memories, creativity, and reflection.
The goal throughout the week leading up to the event is to start collecting little things that mean something to you. Maybe it’s a coffee shop receipt from a conversation with a friend, a tea tag quote, wrappers, tickets, notes, photos, magazine clippings, stickers, or random tiny treasures you’d normally throw away.
Instead of tossing them, bring them with you and turn them into something beautiful and memorable.
This experience connects deeply with the sustainability mission of Concrete Couch by encouraging us to creatively reuse and repurpose everyday materials into art, storytelling, and self-expression.
