Overview

First anniversary U.S.-Japan Initiative program on trade, baseball, and gaming, featuring Wendy Cutler, Joel Wolfe, and more.

Join Asia Society Southern California (ASSC) on Tuesday, June 9, for the first anniversary of our initiative, the U.S.-Japan Initiative (USJI) Program IV. First introduced last year, USJI is a platform for substantive dialogue between two nations with a deep, evolving relationship. Program IV convenes leading voices across policy, industry, and culture to advance that dialogue.

The anniversary program will include conversations on policy & economics, examining U.S.–Japan ties in trade, investment, and economic security, with Wendy Cutler, Senior Vice President, Asia Society Policy Institute, and former Acting Deputy U.S. Trade Representative; industry & culture spotlighting the global reach of Japanese gaming and IP, moderated by Moonlit Beshimov, Head of Gaming Partnerships, Google, and ASSC Advisory Council Member, with speakers from Skybound Entertainment and Bandai Namco; as well as baseball's role in cross-Pacific relations with Joel Wolfe, one of the world's foremost sports agents, whose clients include Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto; among others.
