Georg Baselitz | Special Preview, White Cube Bermondsey

White Cube invites you to a special exhibition preview for Georg Baselitz Back Again on Tuesday 9 June from 6-8pm at White Cube Bermondsey.

Spanning all of the Bermondsey galleries, this exhibition brings together paintings and works on paper made between 2023 and 2025, a body of work Baselitz described as the conclusion of his painting career.

In these paintings, Baselitz revisits the motifs that have defined six decades of work — inverted figures, eagles, self-portraits and his wife and muse, Elke — only to fracture and transform them once again. The exhibition Back Again reads as both reckoning and release: a return to the images that shaped Baselitz’s practice, transformed one last time.
