Running a business usually means becoming the person who remembers everything. The inbox, the follow-ups, the life admin, the random tasks that somehow end up on your plate because “it’ll only take two minutes”.

Mary Lord knows that feeling well. She’s the founder of YAY Collective, a virtual assistance agency she’s grown from a one-woman side hustle into a 25-strong team supporting founders and businesses across the UK and beyond. Alongside running YAY, she’s become known for helping business owners build what she calls a “life-first” business — one that supports your life, instead of swallowing it whole.

This session is about using AI in a way that’s actually useful. Not replacing people. Not turning your business into a robot. Just simple ways to get time back, clear the mental clutter and make the day-to-day feel lighter.

What we’ll cover:

• How to set up an AI-powered email workflow that helps triage, draft and clear your inbox in under 20 minutes
• How to build a lightweight personal operating system using AI to manage recurring life admin, reminders and all the things your brain is currently trying to hold onto
• A simple framework for deciding which tasks are worth automating with AI, which should be delegated, and which are still better done by you
