An Evening with Jayme Moye
Award-winning travel writer Jayme Moye will present "The Magnificent Mother of the Sea," her story in The Best Women's Travel Writing Vol.13
Join Nelson resident, adventure journalist, and award-winning travel writer Jayme Moye for an evening of stories and photos recounting her extraordinary experience in Australia during the Great Barrier Reef’s annual coral spawn.
Embedded with a team of marine biologists and Indigenous Sea Rangers working to keep the reef alive, Jayme had a front-row seat to one of the greatest reproductive shows on Earth.
She narrated the experience in “The Magnificent Mother of the Sea,” which was named Best Outdoor Adventure Story by the Travel Media Association of Canada when it was first published in 2025.
The story has since been anthologized in The Best Women’s Travel Writing, Volume 13, which launches worldwide on June 9, 2026.
Notably will be onsite selling copies of The Best Women’s Travel Writing, Volume 13, which features 27 travel stories from all seven continents by many of today’s leading female voices in the genre. Jayme will sign books immediately following the presentation.
