In EVANSTON SPEAKS (Lived Places), Evanston-based educator Elliott Hurtig draws on decades of experience to present narratives that highlight how individuals from diverse backgrounds contribute to the cultural, social, and political life of their community. The book not only documents the personal journeys of its contributors but also traces the broader transformation of Evanston over time. We’re delighted to be among Elliott’s local events celebrating our city’s varied voices and stories. This event has a free ticket option and a book purchase ticket option.

Getting here: We are located at 1620 Orrington Avenue, in downtown Evanston, just one block east of the Davis Street Metra and CTA public transit stops. There is metered street parking as well as numerous parking garages nearby.
