Overview
An immersive spoken word production featuring poetry, music, movement, live transitions, and theatrical storytelling in one experience
On July 3rd, enter a spoken word experience designed to be felt from beginning to end.
A Night Before Freedom is not a traditional poetry showcase. There is no host. No intermission. No breaks in the emotional journey. This is a continuous theatrical spoken word production featuring live poetry, singers, movement through the room, immersive lighting, layered storytelling, and intentional transitions that pull the audience into the experience itself. Created by New Orleans poet Evan Breaux, this production blends performance poetry, theater energy, and Southern storytelling into one immersive night. Featuring a lineup of artists presented as acts within the experience, each performer contributes to the emotional progression of the night rather than separate disconnected performances. Whether you love poetry, music, theater, or powerful storytelling, this experience was built to leave an impact long after the final piece ends.Date: July 3rd Doors Open: 6:00 PM Show Starts: 7:00 PM Location: Venue Vapaille 4201 Washington Ave New Orleans, Louisiana
