Viva la Vida: Metal Embossing

Viva la Vida: Metal Embossing

Overview

The National Museum of Mexican Art in collaboration with Mather present Viva la Vida, a monthly workshop series tailored for adults 55+!

Adults ages 55+ are invited to join us for an immersive experience in the galleries, followed by an art-making activity. This month, we will highlight Images of Faith: 3000 Years of Spiritual Expressions in Mexico. In this workshop, we will use embossing techniques to create recessed images onto a thin sheet of metal. This workshop is inspired by repujados, a traditional artisan practice.

Coffee and treats from local establishments will be provided. This program is free, but registration is required. If you have any questions, please contact angela@nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org.
