Overview
This panel discussion will focus on the unique experiences that people in the LGBTQIA+ community have at the end of life.
While dying is universal, experiences leading up to death can be very different—especially within marginalized groups.
LGBTQIA+ Perspectives at the End of Life is a panel discussion touching on topics like:
- Identity and visibility
- Chosen family
- Legal & practical barriers
- Healthcare experiences
- Spirituality and grief
- Provider best practices
The goal of this session is to create a greater awareness of the unique challenges that the queer community faces at the end of life through the shared experiences of LGBTQIA+ community members.
