Join me and Paolo Sanchez on an educational day of hiking and exploring in search of ruby crystals near Mt.Baldy!
In search of: Rubies! Most ruby crystals are small (<1cm), but larger crystals can be found. Crystals of fuchsite, muscovite, and monazite are also reported. Good crystals may be found in talus, but the best is within the rocks themselves.
