Where do we park?

There are a few spots for parking in the pull out  along West River Parkway, or you can park across the boulevard in the neighborhood.  There are bike racks right there at the top of the stairs.

Question 2

Where do we meet?

Accepted Answer

We will meet at the top of the stairs right along the bike and walk path and walk together down to the beach area.  If you are late you can just walk down and meet us.

Question 3

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Weather-appropriate clothing
Bug spray and/or sunscreen if needed 
Something to sit on (if the ground is wet or sandy)
Sit-upons will be available to borrow or purchase ($10)
Water or other beverage (optional)
Journal and pen (optional)

Question 4

What is the rain plan, since we are meeting outside?

Accepted Answer

If it is just raining we will meet and play and be in the rain!  Come prepared with rain coat or umbrella.  If it is storming we will cancel and inform you by email the evening before if possible.  You can transfer your registration to anther session or we can issue a refund.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

If you are not able to attend a session you are registered for, you may attend a future session at no cost. Please email kari@naturebased.care to coordinate.

If a session is canceled due to facilitator illness or unsafe weather, you may attend a future session at now cost or request a refund.

Question 6

Can I get continuing education credits if I am a social worker or other mental health professional?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Minneapolis Nature-Based Therapy is pre-approved by the Minnesota Board of Social Work to provide CE hours.   You will get a written evaluation to complete in person and we will email you a certificate of completion.   Providers from other disciplines can submit for CEUs to their boards.

Question 7

Will it count towards the clinical content requirement for social workers?

Accepted Answer

According to the Board of Social Work https://mn.gov/boards/social-work/licensees/ce.jsp, to apply to the clinical content requirement for LICSWs, a CE activity must include at least one of six clinical content areas. This training will focus on: Clinical intervention methods informed by research.
