Veterans, families, and supporters are invited to a sponsored Veteran Resource Day at Phoenix Center for the Arts on May 23, 2026.

Veteran Resource Day brings together veterans, families, caregivers, supporters, and community organizations for a morning of connection, resources, and support at Phoenix Center for the Arts at no cost to participants.

Hosted in collaboration with Home Base and the Canvas of Courage program at Phoenix Center for the Arts, this event is designed to create a welcoming space where attendees can meet local veteran-serving organizations, learn about available resources, and build community.

Canvas of Courage: Expressive Arts Therapy for Veterans

Expressive arts program at Phoenix Center for the Arts that empowers veterans and their families to heal, connect, and process their experiences through creative, trauma-informed art-making.

Home Base Arizona

Nonprofit initiative dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war by providing veteran-focused wellness, mental health care, and resilience programs for service members, veterans, and their families.

Wounded Warrior Project
A leading national nonprofit dedicated to honoring and empowering post‑9/11 veterans through programs focused on mental health, physical wellness, career support, and community connection.

Soldiers Best Friend
Pairs Arizona veterans living with PTSD or traumatic brain injury with trained service or therapeutic dogs, helping both heal through companionship and training.

Guardian Garage
Provides veterans and first responders with a creative, hands-on environment to restore cars and collectibles as a pathway to healing, purpose, and connection.

Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement
Supports student veterans and military-connected learners by connecting them to academic resources, campus services, and success pathways in higher education.

Military and Veteran Resilience and Health Collaborative (MVRHC)
An ASU-based initiative that improves veteran and military family well-being through research, wellness programs, and innovative partnerships focused on health and resilience.

Veterans Medical Leadership Council
A network of veteran medical professionals working to improve access to care, share expertise, and advocate for quality healthcare services for veterans.

Valors Veterans Community AZ
Builds supportive community spaces and programming that foster connection, transition support, and wellness for Arizona veterans and their families.

Arizona Department of Veterans Services
A state agency that connects veterans and their families to benefits, healthcare, housing, and support services across Arizona.

Ability360
A local nonprofit empowering people with disabilities, including veterans, through adaptive sports, independent living services, and community inclusion programs.

Arizona SxS Adrenaline Therapy
Offers therapeutic off-road and outdoor experiences designed to help veterans manage stress, build camaraderie, and support mental wellness.

Arizona Elk Society
Promotes wildlife conservation while providing outdoor recreation opportunities—including hunting and nature experiences—for veterans and their families.

Co-Op Survival
Delivers preparedness training, peer support, and practical life skills to help veterans build resilience, self-sufficiency, and community connection.

DAV (Disabled American Veterans)
A national nonprofit that empowers disabled veterans through benefits assistance, advocacy, transportation services, and support programs.

EmpoweRanch
Provides equine-assisted services and outdoor programs that support healing, confidence, and emotional growth for veterans and their families.

Guitars for Vets
Helps veterans coping with PTSD and other challenges by providing free guitars and lessons as a form of music therapy and personal expression.

Shutter Shield
Supports veteran entrepreneurs and creatives—especially in photography and media—through business resources, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities.

Youth 4 Troops
Engages youth and young adults in supporting veterans through volunteerism, mentorship, and community service initiatives.
