Sip & Tour: The Future Is Female @ 21c St. Louis

Join us for an evening of fun and inspiration at this month's Sip & Tour at 21c with an art-inspired cocktail and guided tour.

Sip & Tour Guests will enjoy a specialty cocktail inspired by an artwork from our current exhibition The Future Is Female, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition.

This month, Idol Wolf bartender Carson Bush was inspired by artist Zöe Buckman’s series Let Her Rave to craft Parallel to None, a silky-smooth, gin milk punch with tart tropical flavors and lots of freshness, perfect for the season.

"As I’ve grown, I’ve come to better understand and appreciate my childhood. Being raised by a single mom, I can look back and see how hard my mom worked to be everything for me; she had to constantly step into so many different roles to make sure I had access to opportunities and everything I needed to grow up safe, happy, and loved. This cocktail starts with tart tropical flavors carefully processed through lacto-fermentation for a clarified, smooth texture."

In the Let Her Rave series, Buckman combines contrasting materials and ideas so that we are better aware and therefore understanding of the traditional perceptions of femininity and how we, as a culture, can sometimes demand that women be all things at once.
