Evy in the Garden: Live Music & Theatre Performance

Evy in the Garden is returning to Mount Auburn this July! This spare and stunning new work by Carolyn Surrick is a window into a family’s grief, a poignant reminder of the unending boundaries of love, a vehicle for memory, and a place where words and music meet to make room for the aching heart.

Actress Laurie O’Brien and Surrick’s viola da gamba bring to life the southern Maryland summer days that follow the sudden death of a young man. In the same way that the most beautiful and most terrible things often stand side by side, so does this quiet testament to life, family, and sorrow, examining a road winding from tragedy to grace.

This performance will be held on Friday, July 24 at 6:00pm. Space is limited, Ticket Required.
