About Claud

Claud is an NYC-based singer-songwriter from the suburbs of Chicago. Known for songs like “Soft Spot” and “Wish You Were Gay,” Claud first began releasing music under the name Toast before stepping fully into their solo project and quickly building a devoted following.

In 2020, Claud became the first artist signed to Saddest Factory Records, the label founded by Phoebe Bridgers. Their debut album, Super Monster, established them as a singular new voice in bedroom pop. Alongside their solo work, Claud is also a member of Shelly with Clairo, Josh Mehling, and Noa Frances Getzug. The group released the songs “Steeeam” and “Natural” in 2020, followed by “Cross Your Mind” and “Hartwell” in 2025.

Claud’s project has toured with artists including Paramore, Bleachers, girl in red, and boygenius, further cementing their place within a new generation of influential alternative artists. Most recently, Claud signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group in partnership with Jack Antonoff. Their single “Soft Spot” was named one of Vogue’s “Best Songs of 2021.”

About Elliott Skinner

Elliott Skinner immersed himself in music from an early age, singing in church, community choirs, and local bands throughout his hometown of Dallas, Texas. By the age of ten, he had already begun writing songs and playing guitar. At 19, he left Berklee College of Music and moved to New York City, where he quickly embedded himself within a wide-ranging creative community of producers, writers, performers, and studio musicians. Since then, Skinner has developed a sound that moves fluidly across soul, folk, jazz, rock, and experimental vocal and instrumental traditions.

Known for his exceptional musicianship as both a singer and instrumentalist, Skinner has recorded and toured with artists including Chance the Rapper, Jon Batiste, Chaka Khan, Joy Oladokun, and Amos Lee. More recently, he has served as music director, bassist, and backing vocalist for Leon Bridges, while also touring alongside Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote.

Alongside his collaborative work, Skinner continues to build a devoted audience for his solo project through live performances and new releases that showcase his expansive songwriting, deeply expressive voice, and genre-defying approach to contemporary music.
