Concert 4 of Oak Hill Music Festival 2026
Mendelssohn Octet
Oak Hill Music Festival returns to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hanover this summer, the perfect space for another performance of large-scale chamber masterworks. Selections from J.S. Bach’s monumental final work The Art of the Fugue, in Samuel Baron’s arrangement for woodwind quintet and string quartet, are paired with Sameul Coleridge-Taylor’s recently rediscovered Nonet for winds, strings, and piano. We conclude with Mendelssohn’s Octet for strings, one of the composer’s most beloved works, and an icon of the string repertoire. Click here for more information about Oak Hill Music Festival.
