Hummingbirds are the jewels of avian the world. Measuring only a few inches and weighing a little more than a penny, these fast flying beauties can be both tame, yet entertainingly aggressive towards each other. Come learn about the 4 different species that visit us here in Colorado Springs, and how to attract them!
This course is co-taught by Heather Weber-Langvardt, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited and Aiken Audubon Society Vice-President in Colorado Springs, and Michael Rogers our very own perennials for pollinators guru from Phelan Gardens.
We will discuss some tips and tricks of using hummingbird feeders, and address some of the challenges such as bees and ants. We will also discuss the best attractant of all: perennial and annual flowers that hummingbirds, and you, will love!
