Do I need any design experience to join Brand Camp?

Not at all. Brand Camp is built specifically for people who have little to no formal design training. If you can open Canva and move things around, you have everything you need to start. We build your skills from the ground up.

Do I need a Canva Pro account?

Accepted Answer

A free Canva account works for most of what we cover. Canva Pro unlocks some of the power features we talk about in Week 5 but it is not required to participate. If you decide to upgrade during camp that is entirely up to you.

Question 3

What do I need to bring or have ready?

A laptop, a Canva account, and your brand assets if you have them — logo, colors, fonts, any existing materials. If you do not have those yet do not worry. Part of Week 1 is building your Brand Kit from scratch.

Question 4

How long is each session?

Each session is 3 hours, held once a week for 6 weeks. Sessions include instruction, live demos, hands-on activity time, and group share-out so you are not just watching — you are making things in real time.

What if I miss a session?

Life happens. Reach out ahead of time and we will do our best to get you caught up. We recommend attending live whenever possible since the hands-on and group feedback portions are where a lot of the learning happens.

Will I actually finish things during the sessions or is it all instruction?

Both. Every session includes live instruction and a hands-on activity where you work on real assets for your actual brand. You will leave every single week with something finished.

Is this a self-paced course I can do on my own schedule?

No and that is intentional. Brand Camp is live, in-person or on Zoom, and the group experience is a big part of what makes it work. How small are the groups?

Sessions are intentionally capped at 8 campers. Small groups mean you get real feedback, real attention, and a room that actually feels like a community.

Can I expense this through my business?

Yes. Brand Camp is a professional development workshop and in most cases qualifies as a business education expense. We recommend checking with your accountant but we are happy to provide an invoice for your records.

What is the Camp Buddy Pass?

If you register for Brand Camp x MiaBrands you can bring one friend or colleague for 50% off the standard rate. They pay $395 for in-person or $295 for virtual. Limit of one buddy pass per paid camper. Both of you must register for the same session format and start date.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 14 days before the session start date. After that date all sales are final but your registration may be transferred to a future session if space is available.

Where exactly are sessions held?

The exact venue address will be shared with registered campers via email before the first session. It is located in a private home in the East Kendall area and is accessible by car with parking available.

What is included in the camper kit?

Every in-person camper receives a physical camper kit on the first day of camp. It includes your Brand Camp workbook, official Brand Camp merch, and a few extras to make the experience feel like the real deal.

Are sips and snacks really included?

Yes. Every in-person session includes light refreshments and some inspiration snacks. If you are feeling a little hungrier, we may put in an UberEats order for evening sessions. You may add to the order and pay your share of the food delivery order.

What is the Camp Kickoff Happy Hour?

Before Session 1 officially begins we will meet for a casual happy hour with all registered campers. It is low pressure, no laptops required, and a chance to meet your fellow campers before the learning starts. Details are shared with registered campers closer to the date.
