2026 Boeing STEAM and Space Day

Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis, Boeing, and community partners are working together to provide a day family fun and learning:

• Take on the jobs of an astronaut in a mini space mission in Challenger’s spacecraft.
• Join us for a 30-minute family workshop (ages 6+ with an adult) or 60-minute teen workshops (ages 12+) to take your engineering skills to the next level.
• Make and launch a compressed-air rocket – and compete for a prize for farthest launch!
• Ride on a hovercraft to knock down the bowling pins
• Design lunar colonies, Mars rovers, and roller coasters
• Check out all our activity areas –Aerospace Alley, Space Bound, Every-Day STEM, and Kinder-STEM – where you’ll be able to make helicopters, design lunar colonies, experiment with simple circuits, and more.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is encouraged. Space in missions and workshops is limited!

SPACE MISSIONS:
Walk next door to the Challenger Learning Center, where you can experience a mini space mission in our simulated spacecraft! Test out robotic arms, confirm the ship’s life support systems are working properly, and more. Recommended for ages 6-12 with a grownup. (Seats are limited – adults and children must ALL register.)

FAMILY STEM WORKSHOPS:
Children ages 6 and up and their grown-ups will use simple-circuits and ingenuity to create “make & take” motorized masterpieces! (One registration per child/project; an adult must be there to assist but does not need to register.)

TEEN PROGRAM A ROBOT WORKSHOP
Learn the basics of coding a robot and test your skills in fun challenges. (Ages 12+)

TEEN DRONE PILOT WORKSHOP
Learn to pilot a drone and try out your skills guiding it through an obstacle course. (Ages 12+)

All slots filled? Don't despair! Walk-in spots will also be available, so stop by the sign-up table near the front entrance when you arrive.
