Nothing to Fix: Restorative Yoga + Sound Bath

Nothing to Fix: Restorative Yoga + Sound Bath

Singing Bowls of the RockiesColorado Springs, CO
Saturday, May 23  •  4 PM - 6 PM
Overview

Join us for a deeply restorative evening of supported yoga poses and immersive sound healing designed to calm the nervous system.

Join us for a deeply restful evening designed to support nervous system regulation, deep relaxation, and simple presence. This experience blends restorative yoga with an immersive sound bath, creating space to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself—exactly as you are.

Rooted in the theme of “nothing to fix,” this class invites you to step away from pressure, productivity, and self-improvement, and instead rest in stillness and awareness. Through fully supported, mostly supine restorative yoga postures held for several minutes at a time, the body is gently encouraged to release tension while the nervous system shifts out of stress mode.

As the body settles, resonant tones from crystal singing bowls and other healing instruments are layered throughout the experience. These soothing vibrations can help quiet the mind, support deeper states of relaxation, and create a sense of grounding and internal spaciousness.

Together, the restorative yoga and sound bath create an environment where nothing is required of you. No striving, no performing—just rest, breath, and the opportunity to simply be.

About Our Yoga Intructor, Valeria

Valeria is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), certified in May 2025. Shortly after completing her training, she began offering donation-based restorative yoga classes through Think Positive Club, a nonprofit focused on mindset, community, and holistic well-being. Her teachings emphasize nervous system regulation, breath awareness, and deep rest, guiding students into a grounded and restorative experience that supports both physical and emotional balance.

When she’s not teaching, Valeria is usually doing something that keeps life interesting—playing pool in local leagues, getting outside for fresh air and a mental reset, or finding ways to continue to deepen her studies of yoga, healing and self-awareness.

About our Sound Bath

Led by Dr. Gigi Turner, PsyD, founder of Singing Bowls of the Rockies, each of her sound baths reflects her background in psychology and her carefully curated collection of instruments.

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you’re immersed in soothing sound waves from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. As you relax and listen, your brain shifts into calmer states, helping the body unwind, the mind quiet, and the nervous system settle. Many people use sound baths to ease stress, support emotional release, and reconnect with themselves.

Our sessions may include a wide variety of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chakra-tuned sets, crystal quartzophone harp, gongs, chimes, flutes, drums, handpans, kalimba, tingshas, and other traditional instruments from around the world.

What to Bring:

We kindly ask that you bring a blanket or bedsheet to place over our floor cushions to help preserve them for long-term community use. Please also bring a yoga mat, blanket, two pillows for support during restorative poses, along with anything else you may need to feel comfortable lying down for both yoga and the sound bath.

Please dress comfortably, bring water, and eat beforehand.

For the best experience and to ensure a harmonious start for all participants, we kindly request your timely arrival. Your punctuality is greatly appreciated.
