A Refugee Week Event by the Friends of Oleksandriya

Join us for an evening that celebrates resilience, culture, and community.

On Saturday, 13 June, the Friends of Oleksandriya invite you to the BRLSI Elwin Room for a special Refugee Week gathering themed Courage. The event brings together music, stories, and Ukrainian cuisine in a heartfelt tribute to the strength of those rebuilding their lives far from home.

Programme

  • A concert of Ukrainian folk music performed by Yuliia Lut, a local Ukrainian refugee, accompanied by Everton Hartley
  • Reflections and speeches on Refugee Week and the meaning of Courage

Food & Drink

Enjoy a beautifully crafted four‑course Ukrainian dinner, prepared by MasterChef finalist and owner of the Ukrainian café Sweet Brumble, Iryna Malenko.

  • A glass of bubbly on arrival
  • A 4-course Ukrainian dinner
  • Tea and coffee
  • Ukrainian soft drinks
  • Wine available to purchase by the glass
