The Golden Hour celebrates boundary-pushing voices in a warm, kaleidoscopic variety format

Join us for a special summer edition of The Golden Hour, a live performance series curated by Joseph Keckler that brings some of today’s boldest and most visionary artists together into an inviting variety show format.

The line-up includes Simon Hanes, a leading musician in New York's downtown scene who the New York Times called an "anarchic young composer” and his ensemble Tsons of Tnunami, known for their psychedelic surf rock. "'A composer who plays' is how [Hanes] described himself... On guitar Hanes has a voice somewhere between the angularity of Marc Ribot and an earnestness that recalls Carlos Santana," Walker Mimms writes in New York Times feature on Hanes.

Stay tuned for more lineup announcements.

Curated and hosted by Joseph Keckler, Golden Hour celebrates boundary-pushing voices in a warm, kaleidoscopic variety format. Past guests have included Edgar Oliver, Bibbe Hansen, Charlie Kaufman, Lydia Lunch, Lindy West, Ahamefule Oluo, and Dael Orlandersmith.

Joseph Keckler is a singer, writer, and multifaceted creator who has performed everywhere from dive bars and DIY venues to NPR Tiny Desk and Lincoln Center. His most recent work, A Good Night in the Trauma Garden was commissioned by The Metropolitan Museum of Art and incubated at ArtYard.
