Presented by Sycamore & Oak in partnership with CapitalBop and the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment, Jazz in the Heights is a live music concert series created to bring world-class jazz performances east of the Anacostia River in Washington, DC. Now in its 3rd annual installment, the series debuted in Fall 2024 and celebrates the rich cultural legacy of Congress Heights and Ward 8 while creating greater access to high-quality live music experiences for communities that have historically been underserved in the arts and entertainment space.
More than a concert, Jazz in the Heights is a cultural experience—bringing together residents, music lovers, and visitors for unforgettable evenings of jazz, community, and connection. From nationally recognized talent to local voices shaping the future of the genre, the series highlights the vibrancy and creativity rooted within the District.
The 2026 edition continues that mission with an incredible lineup honoring 50 years of Go-Go music, featuring performances by Chelsey Green, Debórah Bond, and Akua Allrich, with music by Miss H.E.R. and hosted by Keyonna Jones.
