Join the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs, Office of Supervisor Mahmood, City Departments, and community leaders for a workshop on Economic &amp; Workforce Development in the neighborhood. Your input will inform the priorities, strategies, and actions that will be developed into the Fillmore Community Action Plan.<ul><li>All ages welcome!</li><li>Food and refreshments will be provided.</li><li>Doors open at 5:00pm.</li><li>Program &amp; activities begin at 5:30pm. </li></ul>- - What is the Fillmore Community Action Plan (FCAP)? The Fillmore Community Action Plan is a partnership between the City and community members to create lasting, community-driven change. The Fillmore / Western Addition is the heart of San Francisco’s Black cultural life. For generations, it has been home to vibrant Black, Japanese, and Jewish communities — a rich blend reflected in its music, businesses, festivals, and landmarks. However, Urban Renewal and Redevelopment in the mid-20th century displaced Black residents, disrupting community ties and leaving lasting impacts that are still felt today.Through engagement, collaboration and consensus the plan will build a roadmap for meaningful short and long-term investments — one that honors the Fillmore’s history and uplifts its future.
