Field & Feast: Oyster Farm Picnic with Johnson & Gunstone Shellfish

Join us for a behind-the-scenes oyster farm tour followed by a charming beach picnic with fresh oysters and fresh, seasonal fare

Welcome to Johnson & Gunstone Shellfish, a sixth-generation family owned and operated shellfish farm established in 1918 on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. Step behind the scenes for an engaging, educational look at oyster farming, then settle in for a relaxed and charming beach picnic, where live music drifts through the air and freshly harvested oysters are served just steps from the water. Enjoy your fill of oysters alongside seasonal salads, artfully arranged cheese and charcuterie boards, handcrafted NA cocktails, and all the simple, delicious pleasures of good food in a stunning, relaxed coastal setting.

(Please note: you will be visiting a working shellfish farm and beach, so please be prepared to navigate rocky and wet terrain, and to walk approximately .25 - .5 miles. Please wear beach-appropriate shoes, and bring layers and blankets for PNW weather.)

Excursion takes place at two locations:

- Meet at J&G Headquarters for the tour at 11am: 3503 Old Gardiner Road, Sequim, WA 98382

- Immediately followed by beach picnic: 1215 Linger Longer Road, Quilcene, WA 98376
