June Open House: Love All Ways Reception
Love All Ways – a vibrant Pride Month exhibit exploring self-acceptance in one of Austin's most unique galleries.
Step into an evening of courage, color, and connection at The Cathedral's June Open House — featuring Love All Ways, a solo exhibition by painter Bode Robinson, presented in honor of Pride Month.
Love All Ways is an exhibition rooted in a quietly radical act: self-acceptance as the foundation from which all love grows. Robinson's layered, emotionally expansive paintings ask what it would mean to stop fighting yourself — to drop the gloves, choose differently, and extend to yourself the same love you offer the world. At the heart of the work is a recurring figure of the boxer, transformed from a symbol of conflict into one of profound tenderness and reckoning.
Throughout the evening, guests are invited to move through the space, sit with the work, and experience what it feels like when painting doesn't prescribe — it opens. Connect with the artist, gather with Austin's creative community, and enjoy an open bar featuring craft cocktails, all inside one of the most distinctive gallery spaces in the city.
Want to go deeper? Don't miss the Artist Talk. Before doors open, join Bode Robinson for a limited-access, intimate conversation about the work, the process, and the ideas behind the exhibition. Tickets are limited — this is your chance to hear directly from the artist in the space where the work lives.
Whether you're a longtime collector or simply art-curious, Open House nights at The Cathedral are designed to make contemporary art approachable, engaging, and alive.
Voted as one of the top three places to see art in Austin, this woman and immigrant-owned gallery is proud to present this bold and intentional exhibit.

About the exhibit:
Love All Ways A Solo Exhibition by Bode Robinson in Honor of Pride Month
There is a particular kind of courage required to stop fighting yourself.
Love All Ways is an exhibition rooted in that courage — in the quiet, radical act of self-acceptance as the foundation from which all love grows. Bode Robinson's paintings are expansive visual fields: layered, intuitive, and alive with feeling. Color, form, and movement coexist without hierarchy or resolution, mirroring the complexity of the interior life and the nonlinear nature of becoming. To stand before these paintings is to be given permission to exist without conclusion.
At the heart of the exhibition is a recurring figure of the boxer — a motif Robinson transforms from symbol of combat into one of profound tenderness. The stance, the gloves, the readiness for a fight: these are the postures we adopt when we have made ourselves our own opponent. In Robinson's hands, that readiness is redirected — not as aggression, but as reckoning. To drop the gloves is to choose differently.
Love All Ways proposes that the love we extend outward — to the people in our lives, to our communities, to the world — can only reach as far as the love we are willing to offer ourselves. In a month dedicated to celebrating the full spectrum of identity and the freedom to love without apology, this exhibition arrives as both a mirror and a monument.
One can love others only to the depth and the capacity in which one can love themselves. Love all ways.
Want to meet the artist? Join us for a limited-access Artist Talk prior to doors for an intimate look at the exhibition through Bode Robinson's eyes. Space is limited — grab your ticket before they're gone.
