Drawing Together | The League's 145th Annual Meeting + Party
Join the League for “Drawing Together,” our 145th Annual Meeting + Party celebrating design and the public imagination.
The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, in the Dr. S. Stevan Dweck Cultural Center, with a brief report on the past year’s activities at the League by President Nat Oppenheimer and Executive Director Jacob R. Moore. Representatives from the League's Next Generation programs will highlight the many ways in which the League works to support built environment students and professionals across the many stages of their development. In particular, we’ll be celebrating Anne Rieselbach, the League’s outgoing program and membership director, whose four decades of dedication have helped shape the careers and voices of generations of architects and designers.
At 6:30 p.m., the party moves to the plaza! “Drawing Together” is about bringing people from different walks of life together amid forces driving us apart. Filled with music and dancing led by Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet, refreshments, opportunities for drawing, “Ask-an-Architect” Q&A sessions, and information sharing by NYC DOT officials regarding the Grand Army Plaza redesign, the evening serves as a reminder that imagining and building the world around us is a collective, joyful endeavor.
