Celebrating 260 years of the Morris-Jumel Mansion!The Morris -Jumel Mansion is a historic house museum that seeks to preserve and interpret Manhattan’s oldest residence, one that has witnessed the evolution of northern Manhattan from rural countryside to a dynamic multicultural community. Through historic site tours and education programs, the museum interprets the Mansion in the context of domestic life in New York City,  the influx of European immigrants to Washington Heights, the City Beautiful movement at the turn of the century, the life of the Jumel Terrace Historic District, and more. Morris-Jumel Mansion seeks to serve as a cultural resource for an audience of national and international visitors and, in particular, the diverse audiences of the City of New York.P﻿lease note that if you are purchasing a ticket through Eventbrite, you will receive email communications from the Morris-Jumel Mansion in the future.

Discover the beauty of a page turner! Bring books to exchange at school and at an after school meet up at the garden of the <a href="https://morrisjumel.org/" title="https://morrisjumel.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Morris-Jumel Mansion</a> to enjoy readings, games and an improv class for all ages in English and Spanish with <a href="https://thepeoplestheatre.org/" title="https://thepeoplestheatre.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The People’s Theater</a>, <a href="https://www.nypl.org/locations/washington-heights" title="https://www.nypl.org/locations/washington-heights" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Washington Heights NYPL</a> and our local bookstores.  Please complete a free RSVP through eventbrite to attend.
