Laying the Groundwork: Foundation Mastery for Crochet with Karen Whooley

Laying the Groundwork: Foundation Mastery for Crochet with Karen Whooley

Overview

Learn to master your crochet foundations and you'll start every piece with clarity and control. A must for every crocheter!

A strong foundation makes everything that follows easier. When you know how to start a project cleanly and confidently, the rest of your work flows.

In this class, you'll learn to create the chain and first row simultaneously for single and double crochet. This technique solves tension issues and gives you a more stable base to build from. We'll also cover alternative foundations for textured starts: shells, bobbles, clusters, ripples, and openwork patterns.

These skills apply to nearly every project you'll make. Master your foundations, and you'll start every piece with clarity and control.
