Join us for our monthly Drum Circle at The Empty Corner, hosted by djembe performer Victoria Boateng! This event will be taking place on Thursday, May 28th, at 6:30 PM, and everyone is invited; no experience is necessary!

A drum circle is a communal gathering where group participation and connection through the beat is emphasized and explored. There are several benefits to attending a drum circle, including stress relief, community building, boosted creativity, and improved rhythm! Tickets are $20 per person, and a drum will be provided.

Victoria graduated from Western Illinois University in December 2012 with a bachelor's degree in communication and minor in theater. After graduation, Victoria Boateng studied West African drumming with master drummers Bolokoda Conde and Michael Taylor.
