Join Joe “Joey C” Cannistraci and Sal Graffagnino for a celebration of their Sicilian Heritage. Joe born in New York and raised in New Jersey grew up with 4 Sicilian immigrant grandparents who were all particularly intent on bestowing upon him the importance of his heritage and to this day he identifies with it intimately. Sal was born and raised in Palermo and moved to the US to work with his mothers first cousin Salvatore Ferrante who founded and owns Sicilia in Bocca in Morgan Hill. Joe and Sal are coming together for this family style event that will feature regional dishes from Palermo, Trapani, Petralia Sottana, Sircusa and others along with a selection of 6 Sicilian wines to explore. Some of the classics that will be served are Panelle, Coponata (Joe’s grandmothers recipe), Pasta alla Norma, Pistachio pesto lasagna, involtini pesce spada- swordfish stuffed with prawns, pine nuts, breadcrumbs, raisins, parsley, lemon zest and garlic, Agnello Messinese (Grilled lamb) and more, Stay tuned for a detailed menu in an upcoming e-mail dedicated to the event.
