What can I bring to swap?

Accepted Answer

Each ticket allows you to bring up to 10 items per child — including clothing, shoes, and parcel-sized toys. Please no large items like prams, high chairs, or walkers.

What condition should items be in?

Accepted Answer

All items should be clean and in good condition — either brand new with tags or gently worn.

We also have a play condition section ?
These are perfect for nursery, messy play and park days, not perfect, but still plenty of wear left.

No broken, heavily stained or unusable items please.

Question 3

Are there any brands you don’t accept?

Accepted Answer

We don’t accept ultra-fast fashion or low-quality kidswear from brands like Shein, Temu or Primark. Please bring items that are durable, good quality, and made to last — think high street faves like Zara Kids, M&S, H&M Conscious, Next, Gap, JoJo Maman Bébé, or indie/sustainable brands.

Do I have to bring the same size I want to swap for?

Accepted Answer

Nope! Bring whatever size your child has outgrown and swap up or down based on what you need.

Question 5

What kind of toys are allowed?

Accepted Answer

Small toys only — books, puzzles, dolls, electrical toys , duplo, blocks etc. No large items or soft toys unless like-new. And no missing pieces or broken toys please.

Question 6

Do I need a ticket for my child? What about siblings?

Accepted Answer

Each ticket covers one adult + one child, including up to 10 items to swap.

If you’re bringing more than one child, please book one ticket per child.
This means you’ll be able to bring more items and swap for both children.

Can both parents attend with one child?

Accepted Answer

To keep the space calm and easy to move around, tickets are based on one adult per child.

If you need an extra adult for support, just drop us a message in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate ?

What do I leave with?

Accepted Answer

Up to 10 quality pre-loved items per child. All items are checked by our team at the door.

Will there be anything to keep kids busy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we’ll be in a café inside Crystal Palace Park ☕?
There’s space for little ones to move around, plus the park right outside if you want to stay and play after.

Can I bring snacks or baby food?

Yes. Bring your own or grab something from the child-friendly café on site.

Do I have to bring items to attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes — everyone must bring items to swap. SwapNation is a shared wardrobe, not a giveaway.

♻️ What happens to leftover swaps?

Accepted Answer

Leftovers go into future swaps or are donated to families in need in the UK and Jamaica.

Who is SwapNation: Kids for?

Accepted Answer

Parents, carers, aunties, uncles — anyone raising 0–5s who wants to declutter, save money, and swap with intention.

How many people can attend each session?

Accepted Answer

Each session is capped at 40 people total (20 adults and 20 children) to keep the space calm, welcoming and safe. Tickets are limited — book early to secure your spot.
