Block Prints: Springtime Edition

Block Prints: Springtime Edition

Overview

Learn to create custom block print cards at the Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation.

An avid printmaker, Chaim Gross often exchanged handmade cards with friends and family. During the Block Prints: Springtime Edition workshop, participants will learn the process of block printing and leave with their own set of custom cards. Block printing is a form of relief printing where an artist carves and then inks a multimedia block to create an image. No prior experience is necessary.

Admission covers art supplies. There are two dates available for the workshop. Please select a ticket for Tuesday, May 12 or Wednesday, May 13.

A selection of cards from the Foundation’s archives will be on display to help inspire participants. The workshop will be held on the second floor where the new exhibition Figure/Ground: Landscapes from the Collection of the Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation is now on view. The first and third floors will also be open for visitors to explore during the event.
