- How to gently decompress and release the lower spine
- Techniques to relax tight muscles in the hips and back
- Exercises to strengthen and stabilize the lower back safely
- How to improve mobility and range of motion
- Common causes of lower back pain and how to address them
This session goes beyond a typical yoga class. You’ll gain practical tools and awareness you can use daily to reduce discomfort, prevent future injury, and move with more ease and confidence.
Juris Zinbergs, a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and E-RYT500 teacher, brings decades of experience in the Viniyoga tradition—focusing on precise, individualized, and purposeful techniques that support each student’s body and healing process.
Whether you’re experiencing chronic discomfort or simply want to take better care of your spine, this workshop offers a safe, supportive, and highly effective approach to restoring your lower back.
What to bring:
- a yoga mat ($5 mat rentals available in limited supply
- water (please hydrate before class)
- comfortable clothes to exercise and stretch in
How to prepare:
- we ask that you please avoid wearing colognes or perfumes
- please arrive at least 10 minutes before class
- eat light before or wait until after class so that you can move and stretch without discomfort
