Welcome to the hOm Field

The Listening Field: A hOm Sound Journey

Utilizing Prototype’s immersive theater with over 15 unique points of sound generation and 150 feet of surrounding visual walls, hOm invites you into a sound bath journey that expands the possibilities of the imagination. Instruments circling around your body, voices singing in every direction, birds taking flight above you, and ocean waves rolling through the room as you lay in the listening field. All while live musicians and sound practitioners perform and move throughout the room, making every experience unique.

There are three segments to the night:
1. Arrival (6 pm +)

Arrive when doors open to shop local makers, creators, and small-businesses.

After that, take your turn in the dream-like exhibit at Prototype “Love Hug” with an ethereal soundscape of love songs and ambient textures created by hOm’s founder Jesse Cale.

2. The Listening Field (7 pm)

Once you enter The Listening Field, Find your spot, Settle in, and prepare to go somewhere you haven't been before.

3. Open Field (8 pm)

This is time for you to spend in The Listening Field. Stay awhile, explore the vendors, take your turn in the "Love Hug" exhibit, grab a beverage, and maybe even make some friends.

What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is full body listening experience (being bathed in sound) meant to provide a time of relaxation, restoration, an energetic/mental reset, and time to explore your inner-world. This is typically done with singing bowls, but in The Listening Field this is done with a hybrid of singing bowls, live musicians/singers, and surround sound environmental/ambient textures meeting at the intersection of traditional sound healing, modern sound therapy, and immersive performance.
