About Uys Wines:

Meet your local husband and wife team of winemakers, Dirk and Michelle Uys. In 2003 our family emigrated from South Africa and made the United States our home. We have since been residents of Temecula and consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to live in the heart of the beautiful Wine Country. We took our passion for wine to another level when we planted a vineyard and started to make wines that reflect our South African heritage and European palate.

Our intent is to remain small to always be able to be super attentive to each barrel. We strive to consistently produce high-quality natural, vegan wines with no additives, and minimal intervention in both the vineyard and cellar. Winemaking is a way of life for our family and as such we manage our own vineyard and every step of the winemaking process. The final product should always express a sense of place or origin, typical of where it was grown. We believe each bottle of UYS wine should provide a glimpse into the soul of mother earth and as artisans we will continue to pursue the soul of wine and make uniquely individual wines for you to enjoy.
