Philly Book Talk: Free the People to Free the Money to Free the People
You’re invited to celebrate Free the People to Free the Money to Free the People: An Organize the Rich Anthology!
✨Please join us for a conversation with co-editors Michael Gast, Marian Moore and Alex T. Tom, moderated by Nigel Charles. You’ll hear personal stories and inspiring examples of organizing the rich and cross-class solidarity made real, and reflecting on where we go from here.
📖 This anthology chronicles 50+ years of efforts to organize wealthy people toward justice, weaving together stories, interviews, and analysis from a powerful multiracial, cross-class community of leaders.
🎈This gathering is co-hosted with love and solidarity by Organize the Rich, Solidaire Network, Resource Generation, Kensington Corridor Trust, Bread and Roses Community Fund, Threshold Foundation, Blue Tin Strategies, Dragonfly Partners, Securing the Roots, Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance, Donors of Color Network, Voices for Progress and many more friends building powerful cross-class movements. Our event is about celebration, connection, and recommitment - to each other, and to the collective reimagining of wealth and power.
👉🏼 RSVP required. Buy your book here or at the event, and get it signed by the co-editors.
😷 Note: Masking is optional for our event. If you are feeling unwell, have symptoms, or have recently tested positive for COVID or other contagious illnesses, please stay home to help keep our community safe.
🚪Doors will open at 6:00 for light refreshments and mingling; program begins promptly at 6:30.
