Guided Exercise for Living Well with Autonomic Dysfunction Class

Presented by the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt's Therapeutic Movement Program

  • When: Twice weekly for 4-weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30am-12:30pm, from June 2nd - June 25th, 2026 (8 sessions total)
  • Format: In-person at the Vanderbilt Dayani Center (2132 Pierce Ave, Nashville; ~1 mile away from the Osher Center). This class is presented by the Osher Center, but will be held at the Vanderbilt Dayani Center.
  • Self-investment: $160 per attendee for the entire 4-week/8-session series
  • Facilitated by: Adriana Hermel, ACSM Exercise Physiologist & Personal Trainer, Health & Wellness Coach, & Certified Yoga Therapist.


Class Overview:

This group-based exercise class is designed for those living with autonomic dysfunction (such as POTS) and those with chronic conditions who experience difficulty exercising. Our goal is to help you enhance your physical function, cardiovascular health, and overall well‑being through guided, personalized exercises tailored to your individual level. Sessions will be held in-person at a gym located within the Vanderbilt Dayani Center and will incorporate strength-training equipment, a walking track, cardio machines, functional movement, as well as check-ins with the class facilitator to discuss individualized strategies to support exercise adherence. This class is presented by the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt and facilitated by Adriana Hermel, Certified ACSM/ACS Cancer Exercise Trainer, ACSM Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer, Health & Wellness Coach, and Certified Yoga Therapist.

No prior exercise experience required -- open to all levels.


Cancellation policy:

Participants may cancel up to one week before start date without penalty, after that date, there is a 20% cancellation fee. No refund is available after the class start date.
