Pure Imagination: A Musical Willy Wonka Experience Benefiting MIMA Music

A screening of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory with live performances of its iconic soundtrack— an event benefiting music education.

Step through the gates of the Violet Crown and into a world of Pure Imagination! Join MIMA Music on Saturday, May 9th from 3 - 6 pm for a musical screening of the 1971 classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

Before and after the movie, songs from the film’s classic soundtrack will be performed live by The Chocolate Dreams, led by Charlottesville’s own bluesman Eli Cook. Dust off your purple velvet, leiderhosen, or cowboy gear, and come dressed as your favorite Wonka character! Your favorite costumes will receive a musical prize.
