Brody Buster returns to Craft Local July 29, 2026. Doors 6pm, Show 7pm. Tickets $10/Advance, $15/DOS
At the tender age of 7, Brody Buster discovered his mother’s harmonica, sparking a passion for music that would soon lead him to the vibrant streets of Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, where he would make waves in the Blues scene.
Brody’s talent quickly attracted attention, allowing him to perform alongside iconic artists such as Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Keb Mo, and Lee Oskar. As a regular at BB King's Blues Club, he caught the eye of the legendary B.B. King, who invited him to join him on stage multiple times over the years.
Being recognized as a child prodigy came with its own set of advantages. During this exciting chapter of his life, Brody made appearances on various television shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Dateline, Crook & Chase, Jon Stewart, and even Full House.
At 16, Brody felt the urge to experience life like an ordinary teenager, stepping away from the spotlight that had defined his early years. He stumbled a bit along the way, navigating his own version of a “Highway to Hell,” but these challenges helped shape his musical identity. He continued to play and create music with friends during this pivotal time.
As many adults know, responsibilities come calling, and in 2013, Brody experimented with a concept he dubbed "Brody Buster’s One Man Band." Armed with his electric guitar, impressive harmonica skills, snare, kick-drum, and an infectious energy, he set out to make his mark. By 2017, he found himself back in Memphis, this time competing in the International Blues Challenge for the Kansas City Blues Society as a solo act. With no expectations of winning in a competition that featured over 150 top-notch musicians from around the globe, Brody nonetheless captivated the audience and showcased his remarkable multi-instrumental abilities. He advanced to the finals and won accolades, being named “the most talented musician I have seen here” by Rick Booth, clinching 1st place for Best Harmonica Player and 2nd for Best Solo/Duo act. Following this thrilling victory, Brody embarked on a tour across the United States and Canada, performing at prestigious events like The Montreal Jazz Festival, Tremblant International Blues Festival, Bronze Blues Festival in Oregon, Tall City Blues Festival in Texas, and many more.
