Participate in workshops by day and celebrate with us at night during this intense weekend of workshops featuring the guest artists from Moyo Nguvu &amp; the Pan Afrikan Martail Arts Federation, Luciana Da Silva Dance, and Yuni Ramos from Los Muñequitos de Matanzas.

Blessing and Tea

Join us for a two part Brunch. Featuring a writing workshop "Joy in the Mourning" A Ritual Writing Brunch on Grief, Joy, and Survival with special guest Confidence Omenai from 10-11am. Followed by poetry 11-12 from our community elders celebrating the joys of womenhood.  Be sure to arrive early and make your custom mocktail.

Constance is a dynamic dance artists, choreographer, and educator based in Colorado. Known for blending African diasporic and Black social dance styles into high-energy, community-centered experiences. As co-founder of Raw Groove and founder of Love Art City, she creates bold, concept -driven movement spaces that inspire connection, expression, and joy.

Brazilian Forró is a lively, partner dance from the Northeast of Brazil, known for its close embrace, syncopated footwork, and irresistible rhythms that make it one of the most joyful social dances in the world. No experience needed — Forró is famously easy to pick up, and this workshop Master Teacher Luciana Da Silva will guide you through the basics step by step. 

Farró - Brazil's Famous Partner Dance

This Cuban Folkloric Dance class honors Ogún, the powerful Orisha of iron, war, and the wilderness, channeling his fierce energy through dynamic movement, grounded footwork, and the driving rhythms of the drum. Open to all levels, this class celebrates the strength, courage, and sacrifice of those who clear the path for others — come ready to embody the warrior spirit and forge something powerful in your body and soul.

Cuban Folkloric Orisha Dance - Ogun the Orisha of Iron and War

Join Luciana Da Silva for a community Samba class that roots this iconic Brazilian dance in its African origins, honoring the rhythms, spirit, and movement vocabulary brought by Africans whose cultural resilience gave birth to one of the world's most vibrant dance traditions. All levels are welcome to come connect, move, and celebrate the living African heritage at the heart of Samba.
