Introduction to SoulCollage®

The Redwood City Center for CreativityRedwood City, CA
Saturday, May 23  •  1 PM - 4 PM
Overview

Dive into a fun, creative collage workshop that helps you explore your inner self through art and imagination.

SoulCollage® is a creative and satisfying collage process. Using magazine images, scissors, and glue, you are invited to tap into your imagination and intuition to create collaged cards representing all the various aspects of yourself, your unique journey, your community, and archetypal energies. Journaling prompts using the cards offer personal growth insights, and learning. No artistic skill or experience is needed. All card-making supplies and guidance in making cards are provided in this workshop.

Please join us for this fun, relaxing afternoon with other like-minded folks interested in creativity and expressive arts for personal development and healing. With SoulCollage®, as you make cards over time, you end up with a deck of cards that represents the story of you! The story of you matters and in the telling of it through the creation of your cards, you will discover things you may have never imagined about yourself and find a story that is liberating, rich, and compelling. Journaling from your cards is a great way to creatively engage with and learn about all aspects of yourself and your larger story.

What to expect:

  1. Brief overview of SoulCollage®, a healing expressive arts process developed by Marriage and Family therapist, Seena Frost
  2. Instructions on how to make cards, including a quick exercise to get started
  3. Card making time
  4. Journaling from your card
  5. Optional sharing with the group

Your Facilitators: Beth Mattsson and Katie Breedlove

Beth and Katie are sisters who are passionate about the healing power of art! They believe that everyone is creative, everyone is an artist and that art heals!
