Summer at The NHM: Archaeological Dig

National Hellenic MuseumChicago, IL
Thursday, June 25  •  1 PM - 2 PM
Overview

Kick off summer with our Thursday drop in programming and learn about the lives of everyday people living in Ancient Greece!

Discover the past through hands-on exploration at the Agora! Inspired by the ancient Greek gathering place for learning and exchange, this summer program invites kids to step into the role of archaeologists and uncover the stories of ancient Greece.

📅 Date: Thursday, June 25
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

During this interactive session, children will:

  • Learn about the archaeology of ancient Greece
  • Explore how artifacts help us understand the past
  • Participate in a mock archaeological dig and uncover hidden “artifacts”

Kids will get a hands-on look at how archaeologists work—digging, discovering, and interpreting history just like real experts in the field.

👨‍👩‍👧 Please note: A parent or guardian must remain with their child for the duration of the program.

Join us at the Agora for a fun, educational summer adventure!
